Here's a little more detail.

Hi! I'm Meg.

I'm passionate about the power of art therapy and art and thrilled to share it with the community around me!

I believe that creating and art can be one of the best ways to grow, heal, explore the world, get to know people, understand life in a fresh way, and thrive.

I'm an American citizen living and working in Freiburg, Germany. I received my BA in art at Houghton University, NY, USA and art therapy certification at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences, Freiburg, Germany. Since completing my art therapy studies here in Germany, I began work at the University of Freiburg Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. I work primarily with in-patient adult patients suffering from depression and substance abuse and also with patients with anxiety, borderline, and bipolar disorders.  I have worked with adults affected by dementia and stroke and also work with children in challenging life circumstances at "Tigerherz... when Parents have Cancer". I absolutely love this work!

I also enjoy working as an artist with people and companies through commissions, projects, and teaching. I speak native English, C2 German, and have basic understanding of Spanish.

I'm a mother of four precious Littles, a lover of travel and cultures, and a learner of life.

Thanks for joining me in this space!

-Megan Scrafford Gentry
